It’s been nearly two weeks since my last post. I wish I had a great reason for that, but mostly I’ve been busy with work and haven’t been up to being creative. I also had a bit of stomach bug last week, which was just peachy. I’m still pretty worn out so this post will pretty much be a mind-dump. Sorry =)

I guess I’ll start trying to catch y’all up by telling you that I went to visit my buddy Rob this weekend. We wound up at the shooting range with some of his friends on Saturday afternoon. I haven’t fired a gun since I did an article on the JROTC in high school, but I wound up enjoying the afternoon quite a bit.

Rob thought it would be hilarious to get me to wear the belt of ammo and pose for a picture. I promised him I’d share it on my blog. The other two are photos that he took while I was actually shooting, not posed.

After the shooting range, we wound up hanging out his friend’s house. I made the mistake of bragging on how well my Apple laptop works (it’s about 10 years old), and when I got home the battery was dead. Luckily, the Mister was able to contact the vendor we bought the last battery from, and they are providing a replacement. Also, the Mister is willing to share and let me use his laptop until the new battery comes.

I am officially declaring roasted Brussels sprouts as my favorite snack these days. I have a whole pan in the oven right now, and they should come out right before my television shows start.

Yeah, about the television shows. I stayed up after the Super Bowl a couple weeks ago to watch The Voice and Smash. I am now officially hooked. I never got into American Idol, but The Voice has been awesome so far. Blake Shelton is such a cutie, and I cannot wait to see what happens this week on Smash. Who doesn’t love a musical?

Finally, this song has been on repeat on my iPhone for the last month or so. I was so excited to hear it on last week’s episode of The Vampire Diaries.
