A couple weeks ago, I signed up for the Holiday Mixed Tape Swap that was being hosted by Shine On, Local at Last and You.and.Me.are.We. The swap was a quick, fun one. You send your partner a mixed “tape” of holiday songs and receive one in return.

I was partnered with Kaity from brownie dairies, and this week I was thrilled to receive my cd of new music in the mail. The fun thing was that there wasn’t one song in the mix that I already had in my music library….so it was all brand new to me.

Here’s the playlist on my fabulous holiday mix:

  1. “The Christmas Can-Can” – Straight No Chaser
  2. “White Christmas” – Taylor Swift
  3. “All My Bells are Ringing” – Lenka
  4. “All I want for Christmas (Is to Give My Love Away)” – The Rescues
  5. “Marshmallow World” – Frank Sinatra
  6. “The Man with the Bag” – Lee Ann Womack
  7. “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” – Rascal Flats
  8. “Why Can’t It Be Christmas Time All Year” – Rosie Thomas
  9. “Wishing for This” – Liegh Nash
  10. “O Holy Night” – Avril Lavigne & Chantal Kreviazuk
  11. “City of Silver Dreams” – Sugarland
  12. “Auld Lang Syne” – Various Artists from The Hotel Cafe
I was most excited about the Straight No Chaser song since I had recently read a fantastic review of them. The Mister and I agreed that our favorite song was “City of Silver Dreams.”

This was a super-fun swap. Thanks to Kaity and the fabulous hosts!
