This weekend is going to involve lots of packing and moving furniture for my parents. I cannot believe that by the end of the weekend, they will have moved away from South Carolina. I see lots of trips to the West Coast in my future.
I confess…
I may or may not have been crocheting almost all day yesterday to finish up my piece for the local yarnbombing. That’s a major project that has now been put to bed since I’ll be turning my piece in before I head out of town this afternoon.
Luckily, this means that I’ve learned how to quickly hook up some autumn leaves and pumpkins so expect to see some fun fall items showing up soon in my Etsy shop Chasing Blue Jays.

I am so stinkin’ excited that college football starts next week. It feels like forever since I’ve watched some Gamecock football.
Usually, we head over to a friend’s house for the first game of the season, but they’ll be out of town this year and the Mister is working. I better figure out what I’m doing soon.
I confess…
I still have not registered or booked my plane tickets for my work conference that it only three weeks away. I really need to get on that since I’m supposed to be a delegate for our local chapter. The truth is that the trip looks better on paper than it actually is; I’d much rather be staying home.
