Easy peezy. Now on to the wine.
So for Wino Wednesday, I’m going to talk about what we did for our anniversary, which was actually last Wednesday. We didn’t actually celebrate until Saturday just because schedules are crazy.
We started the day out at Brown Box and came home with tons of fresh produce. Then we decided to go to the annual flower festival at the state farmer’s market.
We didn’t actually buy all that much. I wanted a few lantana for my butterfly garden, and we got some jalepeno pepper plants since the Mister didn’t start those from seed.
I was also keeping my eyes open for a bottle tree. We saw a number that looked like this, but I nearly died when I saw this one….which is of course way outside my budget right now.
When we made it home, we decided to put some of our fresh produce from the morning to good use and make our anniversary dinner. Here was the menu for the night.
Let me just say the orange butter sauce on the Brussels sprouts is my new secret weapon when it comes to veggies. That sauce will make any meal fancy. As you can see, we thought that the meal was horrible.
You may notice that this Chianti was also in my pictures last week from our anniversary celebration last year.
It was the wine we ordered at dinner last year for our celebration. We both liked it so much, that we’ve decided to get a bottle each year to have with our special meal. In the world of wine, it’s not terribly expensive, but it is a bit pricey to be an everyday wine.
