Saying goodbye

Before I get started, I want to say a quick “I’m sorry!” for the unintentional bloggy break. I didn’t plan to be gone from my blog for two weeks, but the holidays and company and family took all my time up. Oh, and a little work, too.
I’m hoping throughout the week to share how our holidays went, but first I think it’s most appropriate to tell you how we closed out 2011. On Saturday, we laid the Mister’s 93-year-old grandmother to rest. Last year was a really hard year for her healthwise, and I think the whole family agrees that she’s now in a much happier place.
MaMa (as we called her) was a great leader in our family. She was a retired nurse of 50 years. She was a woman of faith within her church. And she dearly loved her family.
