If you’re just joining the party, the Mister and I were offered an opportunity to head out to San Francisco for the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Catch up on the rest of the trip here:
Christmas Day & Sunday
Tuesday was probably our most chill day of the whole trip. It was raining when we woke up, so we head across the street to the mall. Westfield San Francisco Centre is five stories tall.
There was a Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom’s and a movie theater on the top floor. The Mister and I meant to go see a movie all week but never found time.
We took a break in the middle of the day to have lunch at The Old Siam Thai Restaurant. I suggest you go there. The food is really good, and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced.
At the end of the afternoon, we decided to head up to the hotel’s rooftop bar for cocktails before going to dinner.
I don’t have much to say about dinner. We wanted pizza but the place that the hotel recommended looked kind of dirty so we passed. It was pouring rain so we headed to this Japanese place on the same block. Neither of us thought much of the food so we didn’t even note the name.
We spent the rest of the evening in our room watching Gene Simmons Family Jewels. There was a marathon on A&E, and we got sucked in. Other bad television that we guiltily enjoyed that week included Storage Wars and Intervention.
