|Because confession is good for the soul.|
I get more than a little annoyed when you see that car on the road that’s whipping back and forth across lanes. You know, the guy who is in so much of hurry that he has to pass everyone to get two car lengths ahead of us all. The one who doesn’t really that turn signals come standard on every vehicle. He must have thought they only came with the next trim package. I confess that I also do a little happy dance inside when I pass that guy at the next intersection because he has to wait for a left turn signal.
I bought four packages of hummus today at lunch because they were on sale 4 for five dollars. It was a good sale…like basically two of the packages were free and then some compared with the regular price. But the confession is really that those two free packages are staying right in the work fridge. All for me. Do I need two packages of hummus? Heck no! But I can tell you, my belly is sure going to be happy.
I got mad at my credit union today. I realized when I was reviewing my end of the year banking and realizing that the annual percentange rate on my savings account was .39%. I know that interest rates are down everywhere, but they paid me 14 cents on my savings account last quarter. Really? 14 pennies? It’s like being a waiter and getting two pennies on the tip. You almost wish they’d left nothing at all.
I whined and whined and whined about how cold it was on Wednesday. It was 17 degrees when I had to leave for work that morning. There is something about scraping ice off my car at 6:30 in the morning in the dark that is JUST WRONG! And I made sure the universe heard about it. Today though, it’s a balmy 68 degrees and sunny outside. Gotta love South Carolina winters.
I have enjoyed college football too much this week. After all, my Gamecocks won their bowl game on Monday, making it an 11-win season. This has never happened in the school’s 120 years of football history. And then on Wednesday, Clemson lost. And they didn’t just lose, West Virginia stomped on them, 70-33. Ouch. At least I didn’t call all my Clemson friends to talk trash…just put it here on my blog =D It was a good week to be a Gamecock.
