I confess…

Getting myself to work this week has been brutal. It’s been cold and rainy, and all I’ve wanted to do is snuggle down in my bed. We’ve also had company so when I do get out of bed, I’d much rather visit than go to the office. However, the bills don’t stop coming just because I want to play, so I’ve been going to work.

I confess…

This week I have re-discovered my love for my crock pot. We’ve had chili one night and tenderloin another, and I’ve barely had to do any work in the kitchen. Coming home on a gray winter day to the smell of a tenderloin that’s been cooking all afternoon is heavenly.

I confess…

I nearly died watching the Gamecocks bowl game on Tuesday. When it got down to the last minute of the game, and we were down by two points, I really thought it was going to be over. The touchdown at 17 seconds in the game….whoo! My friend’s mom has nicknamed them the Cardiac Comebacks.

I confess…

I am going to make myself sit down and write thank you cards this weekend. I’ve come to realize that I’ve been really slack with that sort of thing lately. There is also a birthday card sitting on my desk that should have been mailed a month ago. This is not cool.

I confess…

I’ve decided that this is the year that I declutter my closet. I was blessed enough to receive a lot of clothes as gifts for the holidays, which is awesome, except that I literally have a pile of clothes sitting on the dresser because they won’t fit. There’s no need for this; expect a big donation to the local women’s shelter this weekend.
