I confess…
I am not feeling prepared to leave town for my conference next week at all. There is still so much to do in the office, and I need to be ready to hit the ground running the day I get back since that week will be busy, too. I feel like I need to borrow a time turner necklace like Hermione used in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

That I’m also not feeling prepared for brown belt / black belt class tomorrow in jujitsu. It might be because I know that we’ll be working on testing requirements, and my confidence level just isn’t high enough with some of those techniques.
Given that I got a promotion last week, I probably just need to tell that voice of doubt in my head to be quiet. I know that exam nerves are normal, but I’m really starting to feel the pressure.

After my exam is over, I really want to get away to Asheville for a day trip. It’s been so long since the Mister and I have taken a trip just for pleasure. We’ll have to keep it simple since we’re living on a budget, but it would be cool to spend some time with friends and visit some of our favorite spots in the mountains.

At least things feel like they are moving in the right direction when it comes to living on a budget. On the Dave Ramsey Show podcast last week, Dave said that when you have a plan for your money, money drama just doesn’t happen as often.
I can relate to that. Life is so much more peaceful living on a budget; we map out our money via Every Dollar and pay the bills. And the stress is just gone because we know there’s money in the account to do what we need to do.
