Good morning, lovelies!
It’s time for the Friday Confessional party. Confession is good for the soul, so stop by to share all your dirty, little secrets. You’ll feel better when you’re finished, and we promise not to judge.
I have been a walking zombie this week given the time change in Las Vegas. I have come to realize I need to build more margin into my life when there’s a three hour time difference involved.
However, Las Vegas was a good time; check out the view from my room. I feel like I learned a lot to get energized at work, especially with enrollment season coming up.
Part of what made the week so crazy is that we had our first meeting for my professional organization yesterday. I am the president of the local chapter this year, which is a great opportunity but also a big responsibility.
This isn’t the first time I’ve taken a big leadership role, but this one means a lot to me because these are my peers. I was really nervous before the meeting started, but it went smoothly. Also the speaker was phenomenal.
If you have the opportunity to see Roger Seip speak at some point in the future, I’d highly encourage you to go. His presentation made me laugh, but I also walked away with some great ideas to grow in my business and personal roles.
I am still in love with my new frames from Warby Parker. Wearing them makes me feel chic, and you can’t beat that they costs only $95. I really like that a pair of glasses was donated to someone in need because I purchased through Warby Parker.
Also, isn’t it fun that I can start rocking my red lip now that it’s fall again? I love red lipstick, but it’s a little much during the summer.
I just reached out to our senior professor to inquire about a scholarship for my black belt exam costs. It’s hard to believe that I’m not 20 days away from my exam. My exam time and panel of examiners has been set; this all seem a little too real.
