Friday Confessional 5.17.14
Good morning, lovelies!
Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You’ll feel better when you’re finished.
After some much needed rain, the temperature cooled off today. It’s weird for it to be only in the 60s after a couple weeks of 90+ sweltering afternoons.
Since I didn’t get back to running consistently like I planned to last month, I should probably use this cooler weather as a good reason to get started this weekend. Maybe I’ll head down to the Riverwalk after work this afternoon.
This week was a long one. I took an all-day course in the upstate on Tuesday; so I drove up on Monday night. Sleeping on a friend’s couch is not the same as sleeping at home. After getting stuck in traffic on the way home Tuesday, there was no way I was cooking when I did arrive.
Luckily, my favorite bartender was happy to pour drinks and feed us. Thank goodness for watermelon margaritas.
We’re starting to see flowers and tiny tomatoes in the garden. I’m really looking forward to tomato sandwich season.
We’re heading to an alumni event at the Mister’s high school this evening. I have no idea if I’m going to know anybody other than him, and that makes me kind of nervous.
