Good morning, lovelies!
Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You’ll feel better when you’re finished.
Life has been pretty quiet around here this week. Both the Mister and I have been dealing with sinus irritation from the weather so we’ve been staying in a lot.
I haven’t been to jujitsu or golf or any other workout this week. I feel like a slug. Next week will go better.
The Mister and I decided to try not to eat out this month to jumpstart the savings. That’s harder than it sounds, but we’re sticking with it. That’s given us a chance to start some meal prepping on Sundays.
I’ve been saying for a while that I want to use dried beans instead of canned; we’re both happy that we’ve started that. And the Mister has been dehydrating some awesome fruit snacks. This weekend, I’m hoping to try our bread maker out. Home baked bread would be the best.
The other day my father-in-law sent me an email with a link to a parenting course. My first thought was to wonder if he was telling me to hurry it along and start a family or if he thinks I won’t know what I’m doing when I become a parent.
Once I got over the shock and read the email, I found I was carbon copied, and the email was to our niece who has a little one. His thinking was if we all knew which parenting style she preferred and had watched the course, we as a family could be a better support system to her.
I just saw these sweet babies in our area that need foster homes. The Mister said no. He’s a meanie! But at least we can all bask in the cuteness.
I am working on my first “commissioned” crochet piece. A girl asked me if I’d make her some boot cuffs. She offered to pay, but since I’ve never tried boot cuffs, I’m doing them in exchange for yarn since she’s a guinea pig.
