Friday Confessional 10.9.15
Good morning, lovelies!
Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You’ll feel better when you’re finished.
Being out of town for the better part of a week really makes me appreciate the little things at home. In so glad to be back to my bed, and nothing beats a cup of coffee made by the Mister.
This week marks our first week of moving to cash zero-based budget, and I’m pleasantly surprised at how smoothly things are going. Even with the Mister missing three days of work this week due to the flood, we feel okay about the budget because we have a plan.
I know we missed our Financial Peace University check-in because the internet access at the hotel wasn’t accessible as advertised. We’re going to double-up tomorrow.
We’re having our second monthly Let’s Get Crafty night on Sunday, and I promise to do better and take pictures this time. It looks like we’re going to have 5-6 ladies getting together for social and craft time.
I need a little help from y’all. As the host, I’m providing some munchies, and I need easy, CHEAP ideas. Last month, I purchased dips such as hummus, pimento cheese, etc. This week, I have about $65 left for our groceries for the week as well as snacks for craft night.
Please share some recipe links below in the comments. Thanks!
Speaking of groceries, I promise to get back to blogging at A Little Seed Grows this weekend. I’ve missed sharing meal planning as well as Recipe Round-Up, and we’re still hoping to plant a fall garden.
I talked about this on Wednesday, but please keep my city in your prayers. There’s still so much damage and so many people in need as a result of the flooding. One way to help out is to purchase a box from Brown Box Veggies, which will be donated through Harvest Hope. I’m so proud to work with this family business and of all the good works they do in the community.
