Good morning, lovelies!
Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You’ll feel better when you’re finished.
We’ve been fighting sickness in our house. I’m blaming the Mister. He was complaining that his throat was scratchy the other day, and now we’re both congested and sneezy. Luckily, we both seem to be on the mend.
That cool nights and possible sickness mean a lot of soup and hot tea gets made at our house. Maybe this will be the year that I finally share our chili recipe on the blog. And I have a spicy sausage and kale soup recipe that everyone should know about.
I take a lot of pride in the dishes that we’ve learned to make from scratch. Sometimes the convenience of ready-made food wins out, but there is nothing like a homemade dish in which I know I’ve picked out every ingredient. I love when nothing came from a box or a can or a jar.
The Mister made me watch this video of a baby getting his first bath yesterday, and it’s so darn adorable. Not cute enough to make me want a baby of my own yet, but close.
Our jujitsu clinic is next week, and I’m super excited for the few extra days of special training and to see some friends from around the country. Who would have thought that three days of intense martial arts training wound become one of my favorite events of the year?
