Good morning, lovelies!
Confession is good for the soul, so grab the button and let it all out. You’ll feel better when you’re finished.
I didn’t mean to take a week off blogging, but every year in October life starts to get crazy. My busiest season at work has begun, and none of the personal obligations have let up either. Think positive thoughts that I keep all the balls in the air.
One of the teenagers in our jujitsu family passed away this week, and my heart just aches for his family.
Last weekend, we had our October black belt class, and it was intense. Afterward on the way home, the Mister and I were talking about how I keep hearing from others (not necessarily at our school) that they are surprised I’m still training. Most of the time, it’s meant as a compliment since I’ve now at brown belt.
But to me, it doesn’t feel like a compliment. It feels like people’s expectations of me were so low, they expected to just quit when the training got challenging. That hurts my feelings a little, but I guess I have to set my own bar if others’ expectations are that low.
I received my Swapoween package, and I can’t wait to share it with y’all, but life is so crazy that I haven’t taken photos yet.
I also have a new swap partner to introduce for a fall mug swap. So I promise to be back to blogging regularly this week.
I should be on the road for work already, so I gotta wrap this up. Help a girl out, and share some good confessions this week.
