I confess…

I’m working on curbing the spending this month as my checkbook recuperates from the holidays. It’s hard to pass those sales up, but I gotta pay the bills, right?

The Mister and I agreed tart of the getting more dollars in the savings account means we have to eat at home more often this year.

Can I just say that I’m ready for Brown Box Veggies to start back up for 2015? Cooking at home is a lot easier when I have fresh, local veggies on hand. The produce section at my local grocery store just doesn’t cut it.

I confess…

Yesterday was our coldest day so far this winter. So what happened on Wednesday night? Our heater decided to stop working.

A high of 32 degrees outside, and it was 48 degrees INSIDE the house when I woke up yesterday morning. I just couldn’t even deal; I was so miserable. As I said all morning long, “I choose to live in South Carolina to avoid weather like this.”

Thank goodness we had a friend who does HVAC work and he showed up about 9 a.m. to save the day.

I confess…

One of my goals for 2015 is to learn to knit. On Sunday, I had a girls night in with a friend so she could show me some basics while we watched Scandal and drank wine. Her recommendation was also to purchase Stitch ‘n Bitch as a reference book. (There is also a Stitch ‘n Bitch Crochet if any one wants to send me a belated holiday gift. lol)

I’d also love to find a few good youtube channels for tutorials and project patterns. Any recommendations?

I confess…

I re-purchased a Fitbit this week to help me track my fitness levels. A Fitbit was a gift to myself last year, but I wound up sending mine back as part of the voluntary recall. I decided that with the new year, I wanted to get back in the swing of things. I’ll be talking more about my fitness goals next week, but if you’d like to be friends, I’m tracking on these site: Fitbit and Dailymile.

I expect to begin tracking next week.

I confess…

I have a favor to ask of y’all. I’m on the planning committee for a local art show, and we’ve put the call for artists out. Could you like our Facebook page and share it? Even if you’re not local, the more people we have interacting with the page, the more reach we have in our community. Thanks!
