Boy, summer sure does get crazy, doesn’t it? With all the things going on in life, I realized that the last time I joined the Monthly Goals party was in May. Not exactly keeping myself accountable with you.
Since my word this year is Achieve, I figured I better get myself back on track and share some goals so that I have some accountability factors toward my big goals for the year. Here’s where I stand with May’s goals, which we’ll go ahead and call goals for the summer:
Continue running the C25K program
Nope. In fact, I’ve shelved running until after my black belt exam since my foot continued to bother me every time I ran. I don’t want to risk an injury with the exam only a couple months away.
Update three lists in my jujitsu notebook
Not at all. I’m probably most upset with myself for not making progress here since this is a key piece of my black belt requirements.
Complete 10 practice massages between massage class weekends
I think I gave 6 or 7 between May and June. I know I didn’t get nearly as much practice as I wanted to.
List 4 items in my Etsy shop
Completed! Please go favorite my shop on Etsy: Chasing Blue Jays
Finish reading Retire Inspired
Not yet. I postponed this until after my leadership class was finished since Great by Choice was a requirement for that class.
Read Good to Great for leadership class
Complete. I also led a leadership discussion on Dead Poets Society as part of the leadership class.
Broadcast twice a week on Periscope
Update my jujitsu notebook
Stay on top of my massage homework
Our instructor said at this point, we should be giving 4 practice massages a day. I think he might forget that most of us have full-time jobs and aren’t professional therapists. However, there’s no reason that I can’t have my homework done and complete 2-3 massages each week.
Get back on Periscope
I really enjoy that social media platform. I think the reason that I haven’t been on it is that I’ve been overthinking the content. There’s no reason I can’t jump on just for fun. Be sure to follow me: Persicope: highheeledlove
