Today, Janna is guest posting one more time before our big trip to D.C. for the 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk. If you haven’t had a chance to support the cause, please consider doing so. If you want to know more: check out previous posts – HERE and HERE.
Good Morning Friends!
I promise this will be the last begging post you will get from me before the Breast Cancer 3-Day.
We are 23 days out…I can’t believe how quickly it got here! Amy & I are looking forward to flying out on Wednesday evening and so excited for what this journey holds:
- We know it holds Aubrey meeting up with us and a day of tourism before the walk starts.
- We know it holds 60 miles of happiness, sweat, tears, joy and probably a little pain along the route.
- We know it holds an amazing opening ceremony and closing ceremony.
- We know it will change our lives.
We have booked the flights and hotel. We have a wonderful travel angel, Aubrey, to help us get from start to finish each day….We have our belief that we are doing what we were meant to be doing.
What we don’t know is where we are going to get the rest of the money we need to raise. I still have a little over $1000 to raise, and Amy is 1/3 of the way to her goal.
Now we need YOU. When I say ANYTHING helps, it really truly helps. It helps us get closer to the goal of walking.
So I am asking for three things from you:
3. Send us a letter that will reach us while we’re in camp 🙂 Here is the address for mail at camp – You must have it postmarked by SEPTEMBER 13:

I mean it when I say thank you from the bottom of my heart for ALWAYS supporting me throughout this process. I appreciate it more than you could ever know.
I walk for Dawn, her sister AND her mother Pat. I walk for Pam, who beat breast cancer and is now fighting a new cancer battle. I walk for Elizabeth, LeeAllan and Louise-Paula. I walk Arthanise, who lost her battle this year. I walk for Nancy, Dianne, Mary Ellen, Laurie and Delia’s mom. I walk for my new friend Nancy , who was just recently diagnosed.
I also walk for my nieces…Sarah, Ashley, Megan & Mallory. I walk for Amy’s daughter Jules, so that they may never have to deal with this disease.
And I walk for any woman who has ever had to or ever will have to go through this horrible disease.
I walk for a cure. I walk for those who can’t. I walk for those who lost their battles. I walk for YOU.
